3 Ways I Use Vinegar to Clean My Bathroom

I use a lot of vinegar in my house. It’s cheap, natural and versatile. I can clean my dog’s ears, remove dog odor, clean my garbage disposal, clean my makeup brushes (you should do this regularly) and make a salty garden snack (Dilly Beans)

All with vinegar. And there are so many other ways I use vinegar.

Keep a Bathroom Toilet Sparkly with Vinegar

Like for my bathroom because I hate the smell of the powerful cleaners and how toxic they are. I’m also one of those folks that cleans their bathroom before the cleaning lady comes and my go-to cleaning solution – vinegar and baking soda. I know it’s crazy to actually clean before something comes to “clean” but ya’all, I can’t let her see a gross toilet.

Here’s my crazy Periscope where I disclose how nuts about vinegar and cleaning my toilet (watch here, follow me on Periscope here):

Keep your Bathroom Mirrors and Vanity Spotless

I’m also a fan of using vinegar to wipe down my bathroom counter vanity and mirrors throughout the week. Four Monks has a Citrus Mint and Aroma Controlled spray bottle (available at Walmart Supercenter Stores in the Vinegar aisle) that is perfect for this. I keep a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle under my bathroom vanity for quick daily wipes. This keeps my bathroom clean all week long, otherwise the hair spray, toothpaste and water spots just accumulate.

I’m a fan of staying on top of things. (Can you tell?)

Clean Your Shower Head – No More Lime Scale from Hard Water

If you have hard water, like I do, your shower head can build up with gunk and that decreases your flow of water. Plus, it’s nasty to look at. With just some vinegar and baking soda, you can fix that problem. Here’s what I do and it’s super easy. It’s not something you need to do every week but maybe a few times a year.

I use vinegar to clean windows as well, and it works really well in my little window cleaning business! http://windowwashers.co.za

  • Great tip! Vinegar works so well for getting water deposits from various metal or plastic surfaces. Works wonders on water fountains and coffee makers too. I really like the trick of tying a bag around the shower head. Thanks for the tip!

Great tips, I have often used vinegar to clean off mould in bathrooms before I repaint them. Running a handyman business and doing this type of thing a lot I find it far less smelly than using chemical based products. http://www.manthatshandy.com/handyman-teddington/
