I wrote about feeling overwhelmed lately with the holidays, travel, home life and work. This is why I’ve taken a little break from writing and sometime to catch up on work, nurse my sick kids and overall, enjoy the holidays. Bloggers put a significant amount of stress on themselves to blog so many times each week, tweet, Instagram, Facebook and Pin but the stress we put upon ourselves comes directly from ourselves – not from readers or the community. Like any career path people can burn out and I’ve seen this over and over from bloggers. They’ll take a break because they’re experiencing shoulder pain, wrist issues and neck issues. They feel stressed and overworked and their content and work quality is slacking.
Yes I feel this strain.
So take a breath.
Take a break.
It will be okay.
I’m glad I took a small break and focused on Christmas in my home and was able to spend time helping my little one’s recover from being sick. I caught up on work and my neck, shoulder and wrist feel better. I’m better off for it and so is my blog, even without content for a few days. Nobody suffered the worse for it.
A new year is around the corner and I’m making some changes and continuing on my health journey and will share more on this at a later date. I’m getting organized and creating my blogger editorial calendar so my writing is focused and I have a plan to not feel so overwhelmed. I keep saying yes to blogging projects verses being satisfied with what I have and perfecting the work I’m doing – this will change. I’ll be open minded to new projects but I need to follow my passions and not feel wayward and hope to share this with you along with my Eco-friendly product reviews and my passion for healthy and green living.
