hey Green & Clean Mom,
Good suggestion. I've used a Britta filter for years, not because our tap water isn't safe, but because it tastes a bit like dirt. :) But for travel your Back to the Tap sounds like a great idea. I like hearing anyone say "no" to bottled water and filling our landfills with plastic (plus using all the fuel to transport it to the stores). ~ Steve, the eco trade show guru ;)

Wow - I've been looking for a good bottle and I may have found it! I'm always having to refill water bottles and sippy cups while we're out, and some water really just doesn't seem right to me. Even from water fountains, it's just... ick.

Love this tip...bottled water is the biggest scam ever. If you are handy at all, I really recommend putting an inline filter in your kitchen sink. They have kits at home depot or lowe's that are relatively inexpensive, and require only a tubing cutter and screwdriver to install. Seems intimidating at first, but I got it done in an hour, just following the directions.
