Children love to garden, plant and get dirty (some kids). My son has taken a real liking to planting and even though we didn’t garden this year we did have a tomato plant and he doesn’t even like tomato’s! He sure liked the idea of planting a seed and watching it grow! For parents and children, this is rewarding.
Way back when, I discovered Crissy the Cow Pot and loved the idea of teaching my children to grow their own Eco-friendly mini garden. Everything you need in one biodegradable box! The soil packet, a book about Crissy the Cow Post, adorable finger puppets to help teach the lesson, a sunflower seed packet and the growing tray. It is simple, a lesson in a box but what the children learn is far from small. If you home school this could be a great lesson but really it applies to all parents! Check out Crissy the Cow Pot or subscribe to the Green and Clean Mom Newsletter for a chance to win a kit. Green and Clean Mom will be giving away one Crissy the Cowpot Eco-Growing Kit to one lucky newsletter subscriber. Subscribe for a chance to win and make sure you visit the G&CM official rules page for details.
