Oh yeah - time management is a big problem for me... It's probably my left-over adhd from childhood. I'm finding that hanging out on the computer is really sucking my day away from me. Today I made sure to go outside with my son for several hours, and just hang out with him (ok... I spread mulch while he played with his bulldozer and backhoe... ). I have a hard time doing just one thing, but then also sometimes trying to do too many things at once backfires too! I think I sleep 7 hours a night on average... but I really function better on 8. Sometimes I take a nap with my little boy though, so I feel like that helps me in the 'sleep' department! (no insomnia here!) Em

I do the same thing - I sleep 5-6 hours a night and then once a week I'll sleep for 11-12 hours. On the weekends when the weather isn't nice I usually take a nap too.

I'm trying to start my freelancing business and I still work at a regular job full time so I'm even busier than usual.

The one thing I tend to let slide is cleaning. The house is neat but could always be so much better.

Wow, this is too creepy! I was totally thinking about posting on a very similar subject just today. Maybe I will tomorrow (or later tonight... LOL). Anyway, I am CONSTANTLY asked if I ever sleep. And I usually say sleep is for sissies. But truth is, I sleep about as much as you do, a very similar system. Maybe it's a type-A mom type of thing. But I will get maybe 6 hours many nights, and once I start getting cranky I give myself a chill out night with an early bedtime. It's usually once a week or two.

Anyway, you've inspired me. I'm going to blog about this soon and link to your post. :)

This is an ongoing struggle for me. I'm a "night owl" by nature, but Hubby has to get up for work at 4:30 a.m. This means he goes to bed around 8:30 or 9, and he gets frustrated when I don't come to bed because he doesn't sleep as well when I'm up and about with lights on, etc. I've tried shifting my schedule, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. I just don't function as well in the morning. Plus, our tot sleeps much more soundly at night if I'm up working. If I get up early, she wakes up much more easily and then I lose my work time sans toddler.

Now that I started a blog, I'm spending more time on writing and research, which means I'm up even later. I usually turn in around 12 or 1 and get up at 7. I always feel better when I have 8 hours of sleep though.

I DEFINITELY feel like there are not enough hours in the day. Can we figure out a way to add a few??
