Earliest Exposures to Our Babies: This is Just Wrong!

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPESI have two children and wonder if I ever decided to have a third – would I go crazy knowing what I already know? Would I sing up for bio-monitoring studying and help to learn more about our children’s earliest exposure? To learn about why our children swimming happily in mommies belly is pre-polluted with chemicals. Ingredients not necessary such as phthalates being added to personal care products that pregnant women are buying without understanding the ramifications or that are confused at the chemical and ingredient names and labels.

Learn more about a recent study from Washington Toxins Coalition called Earliest Exposures. It is disrupting and something that has completely frustrated me but it is necessary for us as mothers and consumers to read. When you watch some of the videos from the participants of the study; you can probably relate and feel as frustrated and angry as I do!

Not trying to make you more frustrated/angrier, but thought you might be interested in this just-released report by Environmental Working Group that found 232 chemicals (including, for the first time, BPA) in the blood of newborn babies: http://bit.ly/8pJLLs. You can read the full report or head straight for the FAQ’s & the Healthy Pregnancy Tips. Feel free to get in touch with me at lisa@ewg.org with any questions

Scary to think we are exposed everyday to things we would never intentionally use to harm ourselves much less our children. I am so thankful I have found products that do not contain toxins or chemicals and are from a green company!
