Great post, and it's so true that organic foods not only ARE better for us but taste better to. I think it's all about being savvy and trading off. Maybe you trade-off having meat almost every night and go veggie every other night in order to afford the organic beef once a week. That is a win-win all around. Sometimes I'll make a recipe like chili and use 1/2 - 3/4 the meat they suggest and use extra beans, or something less expensive than meat (even the non-organic meat you may have used in the past). You're still saving $. For our health and the planet it's worth it!

Thanks so much for this post. I never thought too much about organic foods until my daughter developed a milk allergy. Luckily she has since outgrown it but her allergyst said that a large number of babies have been developing this same problem and it is being linked to the pesticides, hormones and antibiotics found in our foods. Ever since I've been trying to go more organic but there is barely any organic food to be bought in our area and the food you can get would leave us broke! I will definately be checking out these sites any using any coupons that apply. Thanks again!
