Beaches® Resorts for Everyone by Sandals. This is one of their tag lines and after visiting Beaches® Resort in Turks and Caicos, I can honestly say, the tag line is fitting. I was fortunate to visit the resort for Social Media on the Sand but luckily had “down” time to put my feet in the sand, enjoy a cocktail, network, eat some amazing food and take-in all the resort had to offer. Admittedly, I spent most of my time either at the beach or at the pool. I’m solar powered, I had to soak in as much sun as possible before heading back to chilly Michigan (where we already had snow).
There’s so much I want to share about the resort and highlights of my trip that I want everyone, who might be considering booking a vacation with their family to a Beaches® Resort, to know. I’m still trying to figure out how to put it all into words. I had a friend, who is considering a Disney Cruise, ask me to compare the two experiences. That’s like comparing apples to oranges but of course, in my follow-up post, I promise you, I’m going to try.
For now, I want to share with you a photo that I feel captures the essence of taking a vacation at a Beaches® Resort – happiness. It’s not a photo of the beautiful turquoise waters or white sandy beach but rather a little girl walking around the pool with the Sesame Street character, Zoe.
You could see it in how she smiled, her eyes, how she looked up at Zoe and her excitement. The little girl held Zoe’s hand tightly as Zoe walked around the pool but each time a new child or group would approach “her” Zoe, she’d release Zoe’s hand and patiently wait with her mom.
She just sat and waited as other children hugged Zoe and smiled for photos. And then, she’d grab onto Zoe’s hand and continue to walk around the pool, content. Living in the moment of being with her friend, Zoe.
I watched this for quite sometime. It was very precious to witness and it dawned on me, this is what the Beaches® Resorts for Everyone by Sandals, is all about. Finding pleasure. Living in the moment and being happy, just like this little girl, walking with Zoe from Sesame Street.
