Thanksgiving has passed and the few days before the holiday I was busy cleaning, stocking up on food for the family that stays at my home and doing as much pre-cooking as possible. This year it was a surprisingly smaller crowd to cook for – 16 verses 35! I’m thankful having fewer mouths to feed but this year I seemed to still cook for 35 mouths; which we will compost any leftovers we do not eat or freeze. I’ve always been leery of left over foods and scared of food poisoning, leaving food out for too long or not properly freezing foods. With Thanksgiving behind me there are several more holiday meals and parties on the horizon.
