Green Tips for Local Inspiration

Green and Clean Mom

Recently, there has been some local attention to Green and Clean Mom and what I do, my website and really the services I can offer local businesses and the community I live in.  I have to tell you it is different to go from an online brand to locally being recognized. The result has been postive for the most part,  I’ve been contacted to speak for events or help with community events. I’ve been honored to help our local Northern Michigan Hospital and their community center do a free going green workshop. I’ve also helped our county with a training seminar for their staff. Both were well received and it was great to personally begin inspiring local citizens and friends and see their faces light up, the light bulbs turn on and answer their questions. When I present I like to bring products for the audience to see and feel. It’s imperative to give people a solution and alternative not just talk about it. I pass eco solutions like the BPA free products, Luna Pads, safe hand cleaners, natural cleaners, organic stuffed toys and natural wooden options, phalate free teethers, reusable bags and some of my favorite books and resources.

Sommer, you did a fabulous job with that presentation! I wish I could have seen it! Next time video it!

    Congrats on all your success.

Local is where it’s at – it all starts in our own backyards.

Great site and video. It is so nice to find other mom blogs who share similar philosophies as I do. My family also (from ohio) travels to norhtern Michigan every summer. Several family members have cottages on Lake Leelanau near Traverse City. Love it there, so beautiful!
