Hopscotch Kids

Menu Planning Resource Pack

Last month I attended the Green Soiree in NYC and was lucky enough to be introduced to a great line of kid friendly, eco conscious finger nail polish; Hopscotch Kids. My daughter is 2 and she loves getting her toes and nails painted but I rarely do it because of the smell and concern about toxic stuff soaking into her skin or her breathing it the fumes. Considering a lot of nail polish contains formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and other harmful toxins I avoid using them on my daughter. Ingredients like the one’s previously mentioned are linked to cancer, allergies, reproductive problems, developmental problems and more. Since having my daughter I’ve been more conscious of these products and ingredients.

Hopscotch Kids stands by the fact that their product are safe, non toxic, hypoallergenic, eco-friendly, and 100% biodegradable. The polish is water-based and does not contain toxins such as formaldehyde, acetone, or dibutyl phthalate. After reading about the product and talking to one of their representatives at the soiree I decided to try it out, not that I had a lot of choice after my daughter saw the polish.

The polish I was given to try was bright green, which my daughter loved. It’s recommended that you buff their nails prior to application for better adhesiveness and use their toxin free nail polish remover. Considering the fact that my daughter is 2 she has a hard time with patience and gets the wiggles. I started to panic when my daughter got the wiggles and the green paint came close to my beige carpet. To my amazement the polish was dry and the beige carpet was safe. I could not believe how quickly the polish dried, which is a bonus when painting fidgety kids. My daughter loved her new “Shrek toes”, as we called them and I loved the fact that it was a safe product for my daughter to wear.

I’m looking forward to trying the other colors for both me and my daughter. Have you ever tried Hopscoth Kids?

My daughter received a Shrek manicure yesterday. The color is so cute that I plan to use the shade myself.

We’ve tried it, we love it and we sell it in our online store. We cannot say enough about Hopscotch Kids, their product and the amazing founder, Ginny!

It is such a pleasure working with her and the Hopscotch Kids team and we are so excited about the new orange color Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater and having Say Say oh Playmate Purple available in Canada very soon!

I’m glad you liked them. It’s my understanding that they are coming out with an adult line too. Can’t wait!

My daughter loves having her nails painted and when it is green the kids always talk about their mom “green mom”! It is so cute!
