We take turns keeping each other in check however I am known as the eco-maniac. I take great pride in that title. It's amazing to see the different choices my kids (15 & 19) are making now. Our children will save our world.

I think nagging kids comes with the territory of being a parent, no matter if you're on the crunchy side or not. But I think those lessons that you are trying to pound (repeatedly) into your kids heads will stay with them. Maybe I'm just speaking from my own frame of reference - because even as an adult I still hear my Mom's voice in the back of my head when I'm standing in front of the refrigerator a little too long - SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR!

I've been nagging my husband for a couple years about saving energy, recycling, and the like. He resisted at first, but now he does those things without thinking. We just had our first baby seven months ago, and I hadn't given much thought about teaching her why we do things a certain way. I think I'll need to pick up some kiddy books. That's probably a good place to start...
