Organic, fashionable threads to green your day

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

I love reading the news and most of the news for me is online. I frequent CNN.com, among other sites and stumbled upon an article about eco-fashion. Green fashion is something I’m slowing being turned onto and convinced of because cotton is full of pesticides on my body just sounds yucky. More and more options are out there and when it comes to trendy accessories, stylish tees or cute shoes…there’s lots of options! Here’s just a few great sites for you to check out if you’re headed in the eco-fashion direction.

Isa Booties: So trendy and cute for your little one AND animal free. My little girl has had several pairs. See my review and be sure to keep coming back because Isa Booties will be giving away a years supply of these cute shoes to one lucky Green & Clean Mom reader!

Mama Om: A fun and trendy shop that has shoes, shirts and mommy and me matching shirts. Organic cotton and oh’ so soft! Read the recent review and subscribe to the newsletter for a chance to win some of their lovely products.

Ecoist: Trendy eco-fashion accessories are a favorite of mine at this online shop. They’re the company mentioned in the CNN article. A must check out site with lots of “green” gift ideas.

Terra Tees: A company making 100% organic tee right here in the U.S.A. just launched in April. I haven’t tried any of these products but there’s a wide selection. Give them a try and tell me what you think.

Tees For Change: A while back this great company gave away a tee shirt to a Green & Clean Mom reader. A company who’s on a mission and they make a great statement. Love’um!

Levis: They have an eco line and seeing that I love my 501’s I just had to share this with you.

Kee-Ka: Organics with a flare. The sweetest organic socks and baby outfits. I’m a fan of the cupcake design, myself.

White Apricot: Offers lot of green fashion and beauty products and if you sign up for their newsletter you can get some great discounts.

Greenloop: Simple $5.00 shipping (gotta love that) but wide variety of brands. Fashion for men, women and loads of accessories and shoes. Just recently was toted on the Oprah show for their eco-stylin’ bags. Right now you can save 15% off your first order! Maybe a little more on the expensive side but it depends on your budget, priorities and if you’re treating yourself or not.

Zappos: The Company that offers free shipping both ways and has eco-friendly shoes. Read my review and learn more about this company going green!

This list would be the tip of the iceberg with more women using their Big Green Purse to vote for earth friendly options. Hopefully if you’re looking, you’ll find one of these sites appealing and start voting with your purse for green fashion. I’ll admit that in the past I’d never have gone for hemp clothing and the like. But, now my dream is live a 100% eco-friendly lifestyle. The greener the better.

I love the selection of ‘green’ clothing! 10 years ago the only thing to really buy was scratchy hemp….but now! Oh, the possibilities. Soft soft soft soft SOFT cotton and cute styles. It finally is possible to be fashionable AND ecofriendly.

eco/vegan shoes are just as great today. When I was in college, the only thing to wear was clogs….but they have really stepped it up in the fashion department.

What a great time to be green! The only person in our family to not wear ‘green’ clothing all the time is DH – since I don’t think they have started making organic suits. DS and I wear ‘green’ clothing as much as possible though, and we’ve never been called ‘crunchy’ or ‘granola’. In fact, my VERY fashion forward sister in law borrowed a few of my organic cotton shirts last week.
