My 2 yerar old daughter went through a stage where she yelled at her dolls and shook her finger at them. That was an eye opener for me! I've since changed the way I speak to her and around her. And I'm glad to say that she now cuddles her dolls, covers them with a blankie, and rocks them to sleep. And ya sometimes, she puts one in time out. We can't always avoid being the "mean mom."

Is that really Josie dancing?? OMG she is getting so tall.

I'm currently writing about something Liv said to me the other day that broke me up so I totally felt for you when you heard Josie relay her thoughts. I'm so glad "listening" inspired you, thank you.

Listening seems to take you to another place when you hear and see the world through your kids eyes and I think this is where the greatest opportunity for personal growth is. Just the other day I asked my hubby if we could try to avoid a certain person chatting with us too much because their words always hold so much drama and negativity. I want to protect their little ears...and so I am super conscious about what I hear and see.

One thing though, I think it's also important to "let go"...to hear and see and then let go. To not tie what we hear up in guilt and our own baggage so that we are further weighed down from our own imperfections. If we let it go, we can approach the next moment with clarity.

Miss you!
...hopefully soon we can snag another site...hahaha...I've got some ideas...
