I have a confession to make, I’m a laundry soap junky. I love trying different eco-friendly laundry soaps; I know I’m weird. The brand Method, which I’m sure a lot you have either used or seen on the store shelves was kind enough to support my addiction. Method sent me their plant based laundry detergent to try.

There was a package waiting for me when I arrived at home and I was a little surprised by the size of the box. I figured that Method must have sent me one of those mini samplers, you know the one’s you get in the mail or take with you on vacation. The box was small and most laundry detergent containers are heavy and bulky. I opened the box and found a cute little laundry soap container calling my name. I was surprised that such a little bottle had 25 loads worth of soap in it. The best part of the container was the pump action. Pump pump, small load…pump pump pump pump, medium load….pump pump pump pump pump pump, large load. It was mess free which made it kind of fun. I never thought I would be writing about laundry soap and enjoying it. I have another confession, I’m 30 and pathetic!

I have done 10 loads so far and I’m loving the mess free action. Another great benefit of this detergent in the affect that it has on the environment. The container is made from 50% recycled plastic, 95% of the plant based formula is biodegradable, and when your done with the bottle you can recycle it. I also like the fact that it’s hypo-allergenic. My daughter has really bad allergies but did not react to this detergent.

For all of you that aren’t stuck in the dark ages like me this detergent is also compatible with front load washers.

Method has a great video on YouTube that promotes this product and why they are excited about a Jug-Free America.

I agree with the previous poster, I used dropps a few years ago and was very happy with it.
I don't know if this new method is a different formula than their previous version, but with 2 kids under 3 years old, i can tell you that detergent didn't work for me! It didn't really clean well!!!
Though the scents are great, I need something more efficient against stains.

I will have to give Dropps a try! Thanks for the information. It feels like I've tried everything but there is always something new out there!

I love trying the differing types of softener. Some of the scents are just wonderful and make my house smell amazing, like from another culture!
