Four years ago when I experienced my first Mother’s Day as a mommy, it was amazing to hold and kiss my little baby and know how blessed I was. Now that this baby is turning five Mother’s Day is an entirely new experience. He understands “giving” and showing his love and affection for someone. I could never have imagined the happy feeling I felt yesterday as my son decorated my cupcake, planted a flower in the pot he painted for me, painted a picture with me and sang the most beautiful song. I had tears of joy and felt so thankful to be his mother and looked at him in amazement because I was no longer seeing a baby but a little boy.
Motherhood is more than I could have ever imagined and to all the moms out there, Happy Mother’s Day.
