Fight the Brown Bag Lunch Blues with these Fun Ideas

Bored with packing the same old sandwich day after day? My kids say their taste buds are crying out for something new. Seeing that the sandwich has been around since the mid 1700’s one would think that I could spice things up a bit and find some new recipes. It is time to think out of the bag and get creative.

10 Sandwiches for Kids School Lunches {Adults too}

  1.  Leftover roasted chicken or turkey with cinnamon raisin bread. Yum.
  2.  Sliced banana with almond butter. The children will think they are eating a dessert when in fact they’re eating a snazzy sandwich packed with protein!
  3. Hummus, diced tomatoes and cucumbers on pita or flat-bread. This is mouthwatering!
  4. A homemade blueberry muffin cut in two with a slice of honey ham. This is surprisingly delicious!
  5. Leftover garlic bread, roast beef, Swiss cheese and mayo.
  6. A zesty grilled cheese with sharp cheddar cheese, sliced granny apples and honey mustard. Your mouth with crave these flavors put together.
  7. Homemade bread, honey ham and apple butter.
  8. Toasted whole wheat bagel, cream cheese and left over roasted vegetables.
  9. Panini bread with fresh mozzarella and homemade jam. I like tart raspberry jam or strawberry rhubarb.
  10.   Homemade banana bread with Nutella. It will melt in your mouth and you’ll crave more.
