I have my reservations about Disney saying they are going green and I’ve voiced this but I do love that they are trying to do more to help our children learn about nature and the environment. I think they could do more to be earth friendly but at least they are pointing in that direction. When their PR firm contacted me I had reservations about doing a giveaway but again, I like that the new movie Earth comes out on April 22nd, Earth Day and that they will be giving a earth friendly package away to help promote the movie. The movie is described as educational watching three families track across the world on this planet we call home. Then I read Diane of The Big Green Purse and her take on the film and again I have reservations. Is the film educational or just beautiful in recognizing nature? Does it talk about helping the environment or threats to the environment? Is it age appropriate for my four year old because it is a rated G movie?
I haven’t seen the movie but I would love some feedback from you, my readers. Tell me what you think. Go see the movie and let’s give Disney some feedback. In the meantime leave me a comment telling me how you feel Disney can reduce their carbon footprint and one thing you like about what they are currently doing to be more earth friendly and you will be entered to win a earth friendly Disney Nature pack.
One winner will randomly be drawn on April 22nd but must reply by April 24th. Jennifer at admin (at) greenandcleanmom (dot) org will contact the winner.
Watch the trailer and you’ll be inspired to go. It sure does look amazing. The photography is breathtaking.
