One day late but Happy Earth Day!
Earth Day is everyday really or least it should be. The Green Mom’s Carnival has tackled this day with the spirit and goodwill to motivate, teach and encourage as the green leaders they are. Take some time and read the Earth Day edition of the Green Mom’s Carnival at Passion for Green Business.
I had my own intentions for Earth Day 2009 but life had other plans. I’ve spent time away from my immediate family and children to be with my relatives during a difficult time. My beloved aunt unexpectedly passed away. It was a surprise and all of us are trying to cope with the series of events that have left us blurry eyed.
Through all that has seemed to pour down on me I have had some time to reflect on life, family, the circle of life and our Mother Earth. My Blackberry saved me while waiting at the Detroit airport and I made my interview with Colleen Padilla of Classy Mommy in the nick of time. Listening to it I can hear some panic in my voice just before the police car starting towing and knocking on windows or before I almost got hit on the freeway. Luckily it all worked out and I’m so glad I was able to chat with Colleen.
I had some time to scroll through the Internet and some of my favorite blogs. It was great to see how such a online celebration. Nature Moms had a great post on planting strawberries with kids and Vanessa at Eco Child’s Play talk’s bugs and nature – how fun! Green Daily gave some great pointers on greening your PC and rocked it out with a great ecostore USA interview. Talk about nature has some raw photos of lighting and volcanoes. Makes me appreciate how nature is very unpredictable just like my life this week.had a great Earth Day special and 5,005 trees in honor of Earth Day – wow! Tiffany of
