Attention:  Giveaway at the bottom of the post

When it comes to being a mom, most of us like to reach out for advice on parenting issues, what to purchase, the newest trend, safety issues and the list goes on. When you’re trying to be a “green” mom most parenting magazines offer one paragraph here or there about being earth friendly or using non-toxic products. Maybe if we’re lucky they might have an entire article because it will help sell the magazine or they believe it is a trend. News Flash:  Going green is not a trend, it is here to stay. Why people think it’s like leg warmers, McHammer Pants or spiked bangs and jelly bracelets, I don’t know.

For me, Kiwi Magazine is the parenting magazine of choice. It about organic choices, natural living and green parenting. Not just a blurb here or there, the entire magazine! Yahoo! I discovered this magazine when I first realized that being an Eco-savvy green mom was the way to be. Oh, and not because it is or is not “cool” but because it’s how I want to raise my children and what’s important to me.

I’m super excited to announce that Kiwi Magazine would like to give away a subscription to their fine green publication but guess what….so would I. Wait, not one subscription but I’d like to give two away. That makes a total of THREE Kiwi Magazine subscriptions for one year being given away. I’ve decide to do this over at the Green and Clean Mom Community because there’s some great green parenting conversations taking place that I’m sure you’ll want to check out. Green Meme has everyone fired up with her political question at the forum and did you know there are reusable breast pads?

Giveaway begins September 3, 2008 and will randomly be drawn on September 10, 2008.

Hello, I’m Sommer and this has been my blogging home since 2007. I’m a juggler of life, a protective mama bear and I enjoy travel, wine, sunshine and good books. I hope that through this site you’ll be able find something that inspires you to live a little greener, healthier and happier. Even if it's just a yummy recipe or a personal story of mine.
