I am an avid workout junkie and am always looking for new clothes that are going to be comfortable to work out in and good products to use while soaping up after a sweaty workout. Good Gear and Alabu work hand in hand in making your trip to the gym a healthy and green choice.
Good Gear is a bamboo line of activwear. Good Gear uses white bamboo and it’s bamboo fabric is non-polluted and passes organic certifications. Did you know that bamboo holds the worlds record as the fastest growing plant? Which makes bamboo a sustainable resource. According to Good Gear , bamboo apparel is soft, odor resistant and strong. While I didn’t get an opportunity to try their Good Gear line yet I did try their line of Alabu.
Alabu is an entire line of all-natural, handmade soap and skin care products that are gentle and help moisturize the skin. Their products range from baby care, facial, hand, lip, body and more. They focus on your skin type, regardless if you have oily, dry, or combination skin there is a product for you. The key ingredient to Alabu’s soap is goat milk, the company formulates its products with only the finest ingredients for natural skin care without the use of colors, preservatives, fillers, or water.
I was fortunate enough to be able to use their soap, lip balm and shea butter stick. I have sensitive, dry skin and have been using their soap for almost a month now with no problems. The soap feels great on my skin and I’ve had no breaks outs or overly dry patches which is great news for me. I keep the chap stick that they sent me tucked away in my purse and use it to keep my lips moisturized. The chap stick isn’t too greasy, doesn’t have a weird taste and I feel safe using it. The last product that I tried was their Shea butter body stick. I loved that the product is compact and I can just throw it in my car, purse or gym bag and apply to dry, itchy patches of my skin as needed.
I love that the products are green and targeted towards living healthy and active lives, I am looking forward to trying their bamboo line of clothing and continues use of Alabu. It feels good to work hard to stay in shape all while working hard at helping the environment.
