Who loves saving money, the environment, and unloading unused items? I do!! I can’t stand clutter in my house, I look forward to getting rid of anything that hasn’t been used in a year, saving money and finding a great bargain.

Peace. Love. Swap.  This website has the as the same idea and I love it! PLS wants to help you save money, de-clutter, and help save the environment by recycling gently used items and reducing your waste. The Peace. Love. Swap. mission is to keep gently used baby, kid and maternity items out of landfills, and to donate to local charities, by producing fun and affordable family friendly swaps on a regular basis.

Swapping vs. buying is always the better option but this swapping organization is unique in comparison to others I have written about. With PLS there are no boxes or shipping involved, PLS is all about keeping it local. First, find a local PLS or start your own. After you have located a peace. love. swap. gather up your gently used items to bring along, pay $5 for swapper admission and SWAP!! The only rule is that you only take what you need and bring it back when you’re done.

Sounds to good to be true doesn’t it? I haven’t been to a local PLS but it sounds like a great option for those that want to be financially and environmentally responsible. My daughter gets the majority of her clothes from consignment shops or hand-me-downs so I am a huge fan of swapping and saving. Anyone that has participated in a PLS I would love to hear your input, sounds like a win win for everyone. For more information on PLS check out their website where you can find a local swap near you.
