I have a confession to make, I’m addicted to lip balm. I have been addicted to chap stick aka lip balm since high school. Believe it or not I actually wrote a paper about it, pathetic I know. When I was younger I chose whatever lip balm was cheap and didn’t really take much interest in what was in the product. Well, once I got older, wiser and truthfully not until I had my daughter did I take much interests in what I was lathering all over my lips. My lips are going to be kissing all over my adorable daughter so it’s not just important that they are smooth and pretty but that they are healthy and toxic free. I don’t use much for makeup so lip balm is my favorite beauty product.

I was walking through the super marker the other day and a product that looked like a colorful mini egg caught my eye. I read the description of the product, it happened to be an organic lip balm with SPF. My curiosity and addiction took over and I purchased it.

The technical name for the product is not a mini colorful egg but eos’s smooth sphere lip balm. The lip balm smells nice, goes on smooth and the packaging is adorable. The product claims to be 100% natural and 95% organic. I also liked the fact that the lip balm is Gluten-free, Paraben-free, Petrolatum-free and Phthalate-free. I like being confident that my favorite beauty product is healthy for me and my daughter. My daughter loves to mimic mommy so of course she likes lip balm too; my daughter slathers eos all over her adorable lips. Now I can slather eos on my lips too; the bonus is that I can plant kisses all over my daughters cute little face and feel good about it.

I contacted eos to find out what their packaging is made out of. They were kind enough to call me back to let me know that their lip balm container is made out of recycled plastic. Thanks eos.
