What do Insurance and the so called new trend of “Green” have to do with each other? A lot. The cost of insurance is a concern for the citizens of today, as is the fatal affects of chemical use. An extraordinarily informational report has been released by Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families. The report is “The Health Case for Reforming the Toxic Substance Control Act”; it’s a creation of scientific reports that link toxic chemicals found in our body and the rise in chronic diseases and disorders. This report is bursting with critically important information that I can barely scratch the service of in this quick synopsis. The report includes such invaluable information about the rise in leukemia, brain cancer, asthma, birth defects, autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s etc and how they are closely connected to the chemicals in our work place, home environment, beauty/health products and more.
According to this report the TSCA gave all chemicals in existence prior to 1976 a free pass by not requiring safety testing. Think about all the things that have changed since 1976???? Everything but the allowance of toxic chemicals obviously. I could go on and on and on about the affects of toxic chemicals in our everyday products and environment but I will let the scientist and report explain that. In this report it also explains how the decline in chronic diseases reduces the cost of health care; which is a concern to all. According to this report the United States chemical reform could save 5 billion dollars each year in health care costs by modernizing European chemical management. We as a country have modernized everything from television to plastic surgery, which is nothing but superficial. We as a Country need to modernize the management of our health and well being. We need to demand that our children and our children’s children our safe from toxins and able to afford the health care that they deserve. Like I said earlier, I didn’t even scratch the service when it comes to the content of this report. Check out the Facebook for updated information.and join Safer Chemicals on
