I know it’s not healthy but coffee has become a food group for me; I never drank much of it prior to having my daughter 3 1/2 years ago but that has all changed. I am up at 4am during the week so I can head to CrossFit before everyone wakes up and then head back home to get myself and daughter ready for the day ahead, so I usually need a little pick me up. Since coffee has become a staple in my life so has having an eco-friendly cup to contain my morning love affair. My reusable or Repurpose Compostable cup is a must in the morning. I love my reusable cup but when it’s dirty or I need a quick cup of coffee at the office I use my Repurpose Compostable cup. The Compostable Cup is also great for when I have company over and they want a cup of java for the road.

So what’s a Repurpose Compostables cup? It’s a cup made by a Los Angeles based green company that manufactures eco-friendly food service products. The company just recently introduced their insulated cups and lids to their line of products that are available for consumers at Bed Bath and Beyond. The insulated cups/lids keeps beverages warmer longer, while protecting the user from burning their hands without the use of sleeves. The paper cup is made from plants not petroleum, is non-toxic, uses 65% less CO2 to produce and can be composted in 90 days in a commercial setting. On top of all that the company uses sustainable manufacturing and fair labor practices. The carbon footprint associated with the production and distribution of the cup is being offset with the use of renewable energy certificates.

This cup is a great option and alternative to the everyday disposable coffee cup. The cups are eco-friendly and affordable at $4.99 for 12 cups. The cup kept my coffee warm, hands cool and conscious clear. This is a great cup to use at home, at your office or any commercial place of business. Hopefully this will change the face of disposable coffee cups in every coffee shop and business around the world. I am taking my samples down to the local county building to see if they will make the change. It may be small but it’s a start.

You now have a guilt free choice when drinking your coffee on the go. Enjoy your java with a clear conscious and a warm belly.

Coffee is not that unhealthy, you know. It gives antioxidants which our body needs.
