I’m going to be 37 this year (I had to actually count!) and believe it or not I still get the occasional pimple (or two). This is annoying and a few weeks ago my face was broken out and I looked terrible! I wear a headset for work and noticed my chin area was just gross! No matter what I used my face would not clear up. It was embarrassing. Have you ever had this happen?
Then I started thinking about my eating, sleeping and activity over the last few weeks. When I thought about how my skin was looking (and hair) and the junk I had eaten, the sleep I was NOT getting and my lack of activity I could see a strong correlation. Not to mention I was not taking my vitamins.
This week I decided that I needed to stop eating like crap. I’m an emotional eater and I was eating my feelings. Not cool. I committed to adding a daily smoothie back into my morning routine. A smoothie loaded with fruits, veggies, protein, organic coconut oil and flax seed. I promised myself I’d take my vitamin D, vitamin B, vitamin C and multivitamin and drink 8 glasses of water each day.
I am shocked at the difference in my skin already. I haven’t changed how I am washing my face or my make-up. I have literally only changed what I am eating these last four days and committed to taking my vitamins and drinking H20. My acne is cleared up and my skin is smoother and brighter. I wish I would have taken a before picture but if you look at the after picture you see I have no breakouts on my chin. They are gone!
So if you’re trying to improve the look of your skin, hair and nails and you have wondered if what you eat and drink makes a difference with how you look take my word for it, you have nothing to lose by eating better, sleeping more and drinking H20!
