Lately I’ve been terrible at eating my veggies which means if I’m not doing a very good job eating my vegetables I’m not being a very good role model for my kids. So I’m challenging myself, my family and all of you to take the great veggie eating challenge! Here’s how it works:

  1. Download, print and fill out the vegetable challenge chart with recommended servings for each age and gender, this includes fruit servings but personally I’m aiming to eat more vegetables.
  2. Keep a daily tally of the number of vegetables beside each family member’s name.
  3. Add a daily challenge such as trying a new vegetable or eating a vegetable cooked a new way, for example.
  4. Each week reward everyone for their great vegetable eating. Take a hike, go play putt-putt golf or have a family movie night!

Alright so get chomping on some delicious vegetables and your body will thank you! For me, I’m in desperate need of adding more vegetables to my daily diet. What about you? Are you up for the challenge?
