I love toys. My children love toys. I just don’t like all of the toys that I seem to trip on, step on, that break and are cheap, cannot be recycled and are they non-toxic, where did they come from and when they go to the landfill how long do they stay there – forever? Responsible buying, heriloum toys that are quality, safe and that won’t hurt your child or the environment…a dream come true is what I say. What about a toy that is versitle and can be multiple things from a doll house or a fire house and when the kids are done I can take it down and store it without having to rent a Uhaul truck or storage unit! I thought I was dreaming when Natural Pod sent me there press release but it is true and I don’t usually post Press Releases but read it for yourself:
Eco-Friendly Heirloom Doll House a First.
(Vancouver, BC) – Just when you think an old toy can’t get any better, a local company comes along and does it. Natural Pod, the leading online retailer of natural toys, has just unveiled its 3 newest products. There’s the first Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified Doll House made in North America, and an eco-friendly push cart and doll rocker.
A toy should be healthy as well as fun
These locally-designed products model for our children a healthy, environmentally responsible way of living. They are built on Vancouver Island to reduce carbon emissions and support the local economy. They’re assembled with no screws or glue, and made of beautiful FSC-certified wood and natural beeswax to prevent off gassing and bacteria build-up. And like all Natural Pod toys, they are built to last – heirloom treasures instead of throwaway plastics for the landfill.
Funky designs that stimulate girls’ and boys’ imaginations
All three new products inspire open-ended play for both genders, not just girls. The doll house’s removable roof allows access from above and all sides, leaving no nooks and crannies unexplored when little ones get their eager hands on this treasure. The push cart doubles as a walker, the doll rocker doubles as a car seat, and the combo of both can often be seen hauling rocks and blocks like a wheelbarrow. And how versatile is a doll house? “We’ve seen kids turn the doll house into a fire station and a parking garage, wherever their imagination takes them,” says Bridgitte Alomes, founder of Natural Pod. “We love that the house appeals to girls and boys alike.”
Practicality to fit our lifestyles
Natural Pod’s products are designed with practicality – and smaller spaces – in mind. Their multi-purpose uses mean that less toys (and less clutter) are needed to inspire the child’s imagination. The 2• foot high Doll House commands space when it’s set up, but is easy to dismantle and store flat when it’s not in use. And it comes fully furnished with a single bed, double bed, three-seat sofa, stove top, dining table and bench – all of which can be stored in the house at clean-up time. Inspired by other FSC-certified products like their popular Chef’s Kitchen, the newly-released Doll House, push cart and doll rocker take their place among Natural Pod’s beautifully crafted, creativity-inspiring heirloom toys for children of all ages to enjoy.
Natural Pod Pricing:
• Doll House – $595.00
• Push Cart – $229.99
• Doll Rocker – $139.95
This is a great idea and I absolutely love it! It is great in so many ways: green, isn’t gender specific, easy to store and allows for a child’s imagination to run wild. Thanks! I will have to pass this on to my readership as well!
