With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I’m trying to plan a special dinner for my family. Valentine’s Day is my husband’s birthday so I like to make an extra special dinner to celebrate the love of my life. One of the things I’ll be serving with dinner is a special Non-Alcoholic Lemon-Lime Cran-Raspberry Drink. Something the entire family can drink together that we don’t have every day. Plus, it’s red for Valentine’s Day.
To make this yummy sparkling drink, you’ll need to following ingredients. The recipe can also be printed below for your convenience.
Lemon-Lime Cran-Raspberry Drink Ingredients:
Lemon-Lime Syrup:
- ½ Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
- ½ Cup Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Cup Water
- 2 Cups Organic Sugar
Drink
- 4 oz. Cran-Raspberry Juice
- 2-3 Tbsp. Lemon-Lime Syrup
- 4 oz. Seltzer
- Ice
- Lemon Slices
- Raspberries
Instructions for making the Sparkly Lemon-Lime Cran-Raspberry Drink:
Syrup:
- Juice the citrus into a bowl or measuring cup until you have a ½ cup of each, don’t worry about the pulp or seeds they will be strained out later.
- In a small sauce pan bring the water to a boil.
- Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Add the Lemon and Lime juice and return to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes, remove and let cool to room temperature.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer.
- Transfer to a bottle or airtight container and refrigerate.
Drink
- All ingredients should be refrigerated and cold.
- In a 12 oz. glass add the Cran-Raspberry juice, the Lemon-Lime Syrup and Seltzer. Gently stir.
- Add Ice and garnish with lemon slices and/or fresh raspberries.
Simple, delicious and yummy! This is a great drink you can make for New Year’s birthday parties, dinner parties or just because.
