Children tend to break things. Just the other day my daughter dropped our Xoom tablet and broke it. We went 2 years without a protective case and it withstood several drops and bangs but I should have known that there would be a final drop and a new tablet on our horizon. There tends to be very little built to last nowadays. You buy something and the next day it’s time to replace the item. I can list kitchen appliances that we’ve had to replace, toys, electronics and even clothing. What a shame and a waste of money. It just adds to more junk in the landfills which is the last thing we need! I’d rather spend money on products that can last.
When Rayovac sent me the brand new virtually indestructible sportsman spotlight I immediately thought to myself, “Yeah right, give my kids a day with the thing and it will be toast!”
I should have known better because my other Rayovac flashlights have stood the test of time! My kids, however, were up for the challenge of trying to show me that they could break this so called “indestructible” spotlight. My daughter even gave me the fingered quote marks as she said this out loud and giggled. The little stinker!
You can tell by my video review that the children were trying hard to break the spotlight and with no luck! We ran it over with an over 4,000 pound Jeep Wrangler and couldn’t break it! We could hear it crunch but BAM, it turned on and worked great! We scuffed it up alright but it’s in working order and shining bright!
So if you’re looking to buy a spotlight that will stand the test of time and children, the Rayovac Virtually Indestructible Sportsman spotlight is the best choice. Reasonably priced for under $40 with 3 light modes, excellent battery life and it’s waterproof (up to 15 feet submersion) with a lifetime warranty. If you break this baby I’d love to hear about it but my kids couldn’t so good luck! This is one light that won’t end up in the landfill anytime soon and is built tough and to last!
